Hello all! My name is Brenshevia. I am the Founder and Administrator of About a Girl, About a Boy, Let’s Get Sketchy and my first born Scrapbook baby ColorfulCreations. I am also I am the mother of 2 adult children and grandmother of 3. I started scrapping back in 2007 when I was introduced to it by my God sister. She told me about how she scrapped and how fun it was. I became so interested that I came home and tried my hand at it and loved it! The rest as they say is history. As you will see, my grand babies are the primary subject of my pages, I LOVE scrapping those faces! I don’t really have a style per se; I pretty much scrap the moment so my page could be clean and simple or elegant and elaborate. Hi everyone, I'm Tracey Campbell and I am so excited to be joining the other wonderful Design Team Members here at About A Girl Challenge Blog, I look forward to inspiring you to join in on our wonderful challenges. I live in Darwin which is in the Top End of Australia, I work full time in the Navy and have a wonderful husband and two very cheeky daughter. Who I am sure you will enjoy on my many layouts. I describe myself as an eclectic scrapbooker as I tend to change my style depending on my photos and what materials I am using. My second love after scrapbooking is photography, so usually I have a camera in hand,lucky for my I scrapbook as I have millions of photos that I can work with. I have lived in Mobile, AL since the early 90's. I have 2 beautiful girls that are 6 & 9 but act so much older. Know what I mean? I love being a SAHM on top of being a bowling coach for the last 5 years. I started scrapping in 2008 after taking my girls to the zoo. I wanted to make them a small album about the animals and it turned out to be a 48-page 8x8 album! I have been hooked on this wonderful hobby ever since then! I met some wonderful ladies and great friends along the way! I am excited about being apart of this team and new site!

I live in Iowa with my kind and handsome husband Seth, two spectacular daughters Payton and Chandler and my busy but adorable three year old son Seth. I also have another beautiful daughter Austinie that lives nearby with my delightful grandson Averie. I started scrap booking at the end of 2012 and quickly became oblivious to everything else in life - just kidding; but nonetheless, it has become a lovely obsession. I am an avid gardener and love hiking, traveling and antiques. I have been in performing arts since the age of 10 and acting is my other passion, but it is hard to get an acting gig in Iowa with a three year old attached to your hip. I used to own a gift store in Southern California and have a dual BS degree in business.

Hello. I'm thrilled to see a new challenge blog dedicated to girls starting up. It just so happens that I have one and she's the subject in the majority of my layouts. I'm very interested in applying for one of the DT positions you have open.
My name is Michelle and I've been married to my wonderfully supportive husband for fifteen years. We have one twelve year old daughter. I'm finally a SAHM after nine years in the nursing field, so I'm lucky enough to spend time every day in my scrap studio. Scrapbooking isn't just a hobby it's a passion, and I can see the way I craft evolving. I really enjoy trying new techniques and pushing my comfort zone just a bit farther. I am so excited to be part of the About a Girl Challenge blog Design Team. My name is Connie Hall I am 42 years young. Married to Robert and we have 6 Children. 5 girls and 1 boy. I Supervise a Child Care Center in my community. I have been a scrapper for 10 years. I have only shared my creations online for about a year and a half. I love to create and my supplies are used everyday. My children keep us busy and provide countless Photo Opportunities. To keep life exciting we also have a dog Havoc and a puppy Motley. I would describe my style as Romantic with a Hint of Shabby chic, a twist of Grungy and splash of mixed Media. I like to try new techniques and encourage others to step out of there comfort zone and try something new. I am honoured to be here.

My name is Laurie LaRiviere and I am so excited to be on the team here at About a Girl! Pages about my daughter are my fave to create, so this is a perfect fit for me. I have three children, Ben 15, Analise 13 and Zachary 5. I have been married for almost 17 years. I began scrapbooking and card making about 14 years ago when my oldest son was a baby and have not looked back, I still love it as much now as I did then! I am a stay at home mom currently and usually do my scrapping when the kids are in school. I also love to sew and bake, thanks again for having me, I look forward to the upcoming challenges!

Good morning everyone. I would like the thank each of you who applied for a position with the AAG team. The response was overwhelming. All of your applications were great but I only have room for a few. I even ended up with a team larger than I anticipated! Because of the number of entries I have had to close the call early as I feel I have gathered a wonderful team of ladies here to inspire you.
Also, because of the overwhelming response I had, I was only able to notify those of you who made the team. For those of you who did not make it, thank you so much for applying, please be assured my decision was not based on your quality of work as all of your entries were wonderful, its just that I only had room for a few. However, we would love to have you all as Guest Designers so if you are interested in being one of our guest designers, please send me an email to aboutagirlchallengeblog@gmail.com. I do hope you will all stick around and become active participants in the wonderful challenges we have coming for you starting May 1st.

Welcome to About a Girl Challenge Blog! We are a new challenge blog dedicated to getting those photos of our girls scrapped! To help us get off the ground and running we are going to need a Design Team so we are holding our very first Design Team call. I am looking for about 6 talented committed scrapbookers to provide two layouts a month for our challenges. The term will run for a 6 month period from May 1st to October 1, 2013. Challenges will be provided to you well in advance.
Why apply for our team?
- To be inspired and to inspire others
- To be on the ground floor of an up and coming blog
- You will be a part of an amazing group of women and develop lifelong friendships with women from all over the world.
- Your work will be featured on Facebook and Pinterest.
What is expected of our Design Team?
- Complete 2 projects a month (you will be given challenges at least a month in advance).
- Comment on participants entries (THIS IS A MUST!). Any team member not adhering to this rule will be promptly removed from the team so please make sure you can do this before applying.
- Commit to a 6 month term (Beginning of May to the beginning of October)
- Keep an active blog that is updated frequently
- Post our challenge and your project on your blog on reveal day and link back to the About a Girl Challenge Blog.
How to apply:
- Leave a comment below indicating you would like to apply
- Tell me a little bit about yourself to include your style and whether or not you are on any other design teams. (no previous DT experience required)
- Provide links to your blog and any online galleries.
- Include 3 projects that best represent your style.
- Place our DT call on your blog to help get the word out.
- You MUST have a Facebook account as we will have a private DT group on Facebook
- Become a AAG follower
We are accepting applications through April 20th. New design team members will be notified by April 20th. This is an open call, what that means is, I have the right to close this call at any time if I feel all the positions have been filled. The first reveal will be May 1st.
